Home-Cooked Bak Zhang by Hakka Tale

Catering & delivery service Hakka Tale is offering two types of kitchen-made bak zhang for this year's rice dumpling season, prepared by a matriarch with decades of experience (both in restaurants & at home) in Hakka cuisine. The traditional favourite of savoury meat bak zhang (???) comprises pork, chestnuts, mushrooms, salted egg yolk, dried shrimp & black eyed peas, while the sweet incarnation  (???) conceals a centre of red bean paste. We enjoyed both - they tasted fresh & tender, well-balanced with capably cooked stuffings. The savoury selection clocks in at RM7 apiece, while the sweet ones are RM3 each.

There's a minimum order of 5 pieces for either type. For orders of at least 10 pieces, Hakka Tale can customise your bak zhang (for example, with a choice of leaner or fattier meat).
